Opened 23 October 1995 as Banks' Milestone restaurant pub. Sold October 2001 to Charles Wells.
Situated on the side of the Grand Union Canal adjacent to Queensway bridge near the old Ford foundry, it is literally on the border of Warwick and Leamington.
The building is in the brewery mock industrial style. From the exterior it looks like an amalgamation of several old buildings. Once inside the impression is of a well converted warehouse, but without the huge empty space feeling that genuine conversions produce. Similar to the Brewery Wharf pub at Merry Hill, the Moorings has a much more welcoming pub feel to it.
Located on the first floor is the restaurant. This has a small bar and pre-dinner drinks lounge area. Full meals service is provided, including special menu items for vegetarians and children.
Downstairs is the main bar. Bar food is available from a seperate servery.
The exterior features a full colour painting of a traditional narrow boat. Full details
