We select 10 pubs from our area to appear in The Good Beer Guide based on beer quality reports submitted by CAMRA members. Please contact us if you have any pub news. Members: we need your beer scores! Submit them via CAMRA's National Beer Scoring System. Ashorne Small one-bar village local. Note restricted opening hours. Friendly popular village pub with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. A cosy log fire warms the traditional drinking area at one end of the bar, at the other is a no-smoking dining area. When not in use for the great value food, the dining area hosts dominoes and crib matches. Guest beers change regularly, most sell out in two or three days, so you need to visit often or miss out on a really good beer from breweries both local and afar. 3 changing guest beers. Full details
Avon Dassett Friendly village pub/restaurant which was formerly known as the Prince Rupert. Full details
Barford An extended Gerogian pub, the main part retains its essential three-bay symmetry. The interior was totally refurbished early in 2005 in a light contemporary style.
Three separate rooms, a bar area for drinking and dining where smoking is permitted, a lounge with soft leather sofas and an open fire during the winter months for non-smoking dining. Separate totally non smoking dining room, seating up to 60, available for private hire mid week.
Comprehensive food menu, with changing specials board. Traditional Sunday Lunch served 12pm to 4.30pm. Extensive wine list, wines supplied by a small local independent wine merchant

Until early the 2005 the pub was called the Granville Arms. The Granville family once owned nearby Wellesbourne Hall.
Easy to reach from the M40 at junction 15 (Longbridge), take the A429 sign posted to Stow. Full details Named after founder of the agricultural workers union, a local man. Reopened in April 2004. Now owned by Black Country Inns, whose estate of pubs is mainly in and around Halesowen, the Great Western has undergone extensive rebuilding. At one stage, almost the entire interior had been gutted.
Food is served all day.

Small cosy 'posh' bar and larger public bar. Sparse-looking, three-roomed Victorian local, but it has a very friendly atmosphere with good conversation. Home to an active angling club, darts team and folk music (Tuesday evenings). Major sporting events shown on large screen TV. Guest beers change frequently - sometimes two are available. Full details
