Updates

18th Oct 2007
New owners Linda and Colin Burridge took over at beginning of June. They ran the popular Charles Wells pub The Narrow Boat at Weedon, until retiring in 2003. However they missed the licensed trade and wanted to return. They found out the Great Western was on the market whilst on a chance visit to the pub a few months ago. Also now departed is the old diesel locomotive which stood outside the pub for the past seven years. A private collector in Ely has purchased the one time Long Itchington cement works shunter for restoration.
