A grade II listed building with exposed beams. It has a bar area, popular with the locals, in which smoking is allowed. The rest of the pub, which is food orientated, is non-smoking and consists of a separate dining/function room and a cosy lounge. The food is of high quality with an extensive menu in addition to the usual snacks. A large open fireplace in the lounge bar hides the skeleton of the pub's celebrated 'Doris'. The pub has a large car park. Leopard's entry on real-ale-guide web site.
