Volunteers are required to help out at the 2019 Harbury Beer Festival, our 28th, which is the Branch’s biggest public event of the year and requires support from our members to function successfully.
We are also pleased to accept non-members help, so if you or any of your friends would like to help, even for a limited time, please put your name down. If you can only do part of a session, add your availability in the comments box. Even a couple of hours during open times are a great help.
Tasks will be allocated as required. During set up, these will mainly be general duties. In open sessions, it is not possible to guarantee work in one area only, i.e. ‘bar only’. Requests to work in certain areas will be accommodated where possible. If there is a particular area you do not wish to work in (or cannot) please give details in the comment box.
Please note that staffing allocations will be on a first come first serve basis so we cannot guarantee that your application will be successful.
There will be a Training session for ALL staff from 21:00 to 21:45 on Thursday 29th August, please try to attend this session. Some tasting will be available for those attending. This would also be a great opportunity to meet fellow volunteers. If you cannot attend, please arrive 20 minutes before your first working session for briefing purposes.
Completed forms should be sent to us by Tuesday 31st July at the latest. If you have any questions please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
If your circumstances change at the last minute please let us know by email at email@example.com or contact us on 07967676720.
- A number of beer tokens per session worked.
- 2 bottles of beer per 3 hours worked.
- On Friday and Saturday, a food voucher will be provided for those working a minimum of 4 hours.
- A free commemorative festival glass (subject to availability) will be issued to anyone who has worked on both Friday and Saturday (glass to be collected when leaving the festival hall on Saturday)
Transport home at the end of each evening session (Friday and Saturday) will be organised.
This will be free for those working at least 3 hours during the session, otherwise, a contribution may be required. The first taxi/minibus will run at approx. 23:45 after we have tidied up. To help us plan this service, please tick the box on the form if you would definitely want transport home. (If you ask for this service and then fail to work the minimum hours or not turn up without good reason, you may be charged.)
Post Festival Trip:
Free transport will be provided for a visit to a “local” beer festival or Beer of the Festival Brewery (to be organised).
